Open Season Championship Auto Racing (OSCAR) is Really Rubbish Racing's sixth season of Forza Motorsport competition.
The season features a new concept, introduced by original member Bookoi - an open season of stock races, chosen by the racers themselves.
After the initial sign up phase in June 2012 was complete, the 24 Really Rubbish Racers with the highest number of race starts were given one race each, for which they could submit their choice of car and track to race on. These choices were made in secret, with the full line up being revealed in a video on July 5th.
The final selection of events is hugely varied and features races ranging from novelty events to full on realistic racing experiences - exactly what the season was designed to do. With cars from F 108 right up to R1 989, this season will reward drivers who are versatile; much like season one.

The Format
Race Selection
The principle behind the open season is that anything goes. Any car that is not cost-based DLC can be raced on any of the circuit layouts in the game, so long as the combination requires sufficient driver input for proper racing to occur.
Championship
The championship consists of 24 rounds over nine weeks - eight events featuring three races each, with a mid-season break week.
Events
Each event consists of three varied races lasting around 18-20 minutes each. The grid for the first race is determined by a qualifying session, with races two and three featuring reverse grids based on Forza lobby points.
Qualifying
Qualifying is a brief two lap session using the same car and track as the first race of the night. With everybody starting from a standstill, this is effectively single lap qualifying - if you dirty your lap, you will start further down the field. Collisions are off, so cars are not affected by each other short distracting the drivers.
Competitors may use their opening lap to post a banker lap, or find clear air to start their flying lap.
Drivers must drive in the right direction around the track at all times.
Lobbies
As in MEMES, two lobbies will be used, allowing up to 32 drivers to compete in each event. These lobbies will be split by general driver skill level and times will be merged to determine overall race results. Whilst the qualifying and reverse grids are lobby-specific, the qualifying times will also be merged to determine overall qualifying results. Drivers in either lobby can score a pole position.
In order to ensure that the effects of reverse grids are broadly similar, the number of drivers will be fairly evenly split.
The Rules
Technical
All cars are run in stock form with no tuning.
As in previous Forza seasons, all driver assists are permitted for those who wish to use them. The racing line assist is prohibited.
Damage is set to cosmetic.
Sporting
The points system is as follows:

There is no teams championship, but drivers are free to race as teams if they wish.
With reverse grids, a bad qualifying session or race will mean a better starting position later in the event. Anybody suspected of deliberately 'throwing' a result to benefit later on will face strict penalties. In addition, if a driver dirties his or her qualifying, they may not then cut all the remaining corners to ensure the quickest dirty lap.
Anybody that suffers a disconnection during an event can reconnect and continue. If they disconnect during a race, they will have to sacrifice the grid positions this will give them in the remaining races by falling to the back of the pack on the first lap. This does not apply to disconnecting during qualifying. This same principle is applied to drivers who join events late.
If a driver suffers a DimensioN Flip they may continue the race alone and note down their finishing time, which will be re-instated into the final results with the appropriate dimension flip penalty.
Racing
All of the usual racing etiquette should be adhered to. Reverse grids combined with equal cars makes for close racing so its particularly important drivers race as cleanly and fairly as possible.
A stewards report will be posted on the forum ahead of each event detailing ares of the tracks to take extra care in and where the track limits are.
Liveries
Number boxes are gifted out to everybody and are required to be added to all cars. Details on the sizes and locations are available on the forum.
Aside from this, drivers may paint their cars however they wish, with the proviso that they maintain the same basic colours all season long. Throwbacks to season one designs are very welcome.

The order of races was chosen to provide good variety in each event, with the racers never qualifying in the same class more than once.
