Merry Crashmas (and a Smashy New Year) was the fourth Really Rubbish Racing Special Event, and took place on Wednesday 30th November 2011. The event was the first of its kind for Really Rubbish Racing for two reasons. Firstly, the cup was held within the Race Driver: Grid environment, and secondly, it took the form of a Demolition Derby. The objective was still to win the races, but the win will come at all costs, and car-to-car-to-wall-to-other car contact was greatly encouraged. All drivers competed in the same make and model of car - the oversteer-happy and incredibly made-up Jupiter Eagleray Mk5.

Event Format
The event consisted of five races, each awarding points to all twelve finishers. The grid for all races was randomly assigned and featured standing starts. All races took place in a heavily modified parking "lot" known as Demolition Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The course features concrete barriers, crossovers and dirt jumps.
The driver with the most points after five races will be the winner of the Cup. In the event of any tied scores, results countback will be used. If scores are still tied after countback, the driver with lowest combined race time over all five races will finish the the higher position. Event points will be awarded to all twelve positions in all races, regardless of whether all cars finish the race. Which they won't. In true form to American motorsport, the number of points available is stupidly vast.

Regulations
Race Regulations
Competitors will take part in 5 races across two versions of the Demolition Arena. 3 races on the short circuit, and 2 races on the long circuit. Races on the short circuit will be 20 laps long, and races on the long circuit will be 15 laps long. All races should last about 10 minutes, and the Event around an hour in total.
There are two rules.
- Driving the course in the reverse direction is prohibited.
- Cutting a cross-over section will require the current lap to be completed again.
Car Regulations
All competitors will use the game's stock Jupiter Eagleray Mk5 entered under their team name as used in previous competitions. This is to be painted in their team's custom livery complete with race number, all of which can be changed in the game's main menus.
Entry List
Race Driver: GRiD allows for online lobbies of 12 players, allowing 12 Really Rubbish Racing drivers to compete.
This entry list is provisional - all drivers will be asked to confirm their attendance closer to the event.
