This article is about the motorsport team. For the driver, see Ajokay.
Ajokay Motorsport (often written as "ajokay Motorsport") is a virtual motorsport team set up by Alex Odell in 2007 to race a 1992 Toyota Supra in Forza Motorsport 2. Since then the team has competed at many levels of saloon, touring, sports, GT, and LMP racing in various racing games with mixed success.
The team is famous for its predominantly purple liveries, a favoured colour of the team owner. The cars are usually painted purple and white, although other colours have crept into the schemes over the seasons, including yellow, cream, blue and black.

Racing History
Prior to racing with Really Rubbish Racing, Ajokay Motorsport enjoyed mixed success in various other forms of motorsport.
Forza Motorsport 2
Ajokay Motorsport supplied driver Ajokay with an early 90's Toyots Supra for several races in his Forza Motorsport 2 career, which he piloted with mixed success. The car was sold on to a willing buyer before the team moved to the fast-paced world of Race Driver: GRiD.
Race Driver GRiD
Having joind the GRiD World tour, still with driver Ajokay, The team embarked on a journey that would encompass many forms of racing, including Touring Cars, Single Seaters, GT Racing, and, to a lesser extent, Japanese Drifting. However, despite success at many world famous circuits such as Donington, Long Beach and Spa-Francourchamps, ajokay Motorsport could never beat main rivals RavenWest to the championship.
Forza Motorsport 3
Having left the GRiD World Tour, Ajokay Motorsport moved back to the world of Forza for the next game in the series, Forza Motorsport 3. The team raced online in various club events but without much success.
iRacing
After the Forza adventure, the team upped-sticks to make the jump across the pond to the USA. The iRacing seried beckoned.
Ajokay Motorsport purchased a Mazda MX-5 Cup car from Mazda, with driver Ajokay managing to find a place in the highly coverted NVIDIA Cup, fought out between same-spec Mazda MX-5 Cup and Roadster models on famous American road courses such as Lime Rock Park, Laguna Seca, and Summit Point. He usually found himself mid-grid after qualifying, and doing fairly well in races; not able to keep up with the fastest drivers, but able to hold his own for points finishes. The team's best results were a pair of 3rd places during the week of racing at Summit Point. Whilst in America, Ajokay Motorsport though it silly not to at least try his hand at oval racing, and completed in several Carburetor Cup races driving Street Stock models, but more often than not were involved in spectacular crashes rather than battles for victory.
Driver Ajokay managed to Attain a D Class rookie Licence before leaving the iRacing series to return to Forza Motorsport 3, and become a founding member of Really Rubbish Racing, signing up Ajokay Motorsport up in the process.
Really Rubbish Racing
Ajokay Motorsport joined Really Rubbish Racing by default when driver Ajokay started the club in June 2011. Once season 1 had been announced, Ajokay Motorsport set about procuring cars for the championship thanks to sponsorship from Ray-Ban
F1Fanatic Forza Motorsport 3 Championship
Main article: F1Fanatic Forza Motorsport 3 Championship
The hopes and aspirations for the team were high after pre-season testing in the various cars at the various tracks yielded good laptimes, with driver Ajokay often cited as a pre-season favourite by other drivers in the series. The season started well with a win and a string of podiums in the first 6 races, leaving him first in the points standings after the first two events. But ultimately the season went downhill from there.
The mid-season produced a string of poor results, with Ajokay finishing outside of the podium places, and sometimes out of the points. He was leading both Class D Lancia Stratos races at Mugello before slipping down the field due to poor pace and a difficult car, whilst other drivers began picking up numerous wins, propelling them up the points table ahead of him. There was hope of a late season revival when races 16 - 19 gave the team 4 podium positions in a row, but that form wasn't carried through to the final races, and hopes of a second win were dashed with the purple car being involved in accidents in several races.
The season ended with driver and team in 5th place out of the 11 entrants with 56 points, despite being one of only 4 drivers and teams to have participated in every race of the season.
GT2 Epic Endurance Race
Main article: GT2 Epic Endurance Race
Ajokay Motorsport entered the GEER 100 lap endurance race at Laguna Seca, and ran a Jaguar XKR GT. Driver Ajokay started the race from 2nd on the grid, and managed to fend off an initial attack from Bookoi at the rolling start. By the end of the first lap, he had passed the polesitter Mr Flobadob, and was setting consistent laptimes, pulling away from the rest of the pack as they diced for position.
Ajokay was caught and passed on lap 11 by eventual winner Shouty after a couple of slow laps caused by misjudging the Corkscrew. He then proceded to give chase, staying fairly close, until at the penultimate corner on lap 16, the purple Jaguar went straight on at speed and speared the barriers. The Xbox Live connection had been lost. The team were bitterly disappointed to have lost what could have possibly been a strong win in Really Rubbish Racing's first endurance event.
Really Rubbish Racing Touring Car Championship

Ajokay Motorsport sat out the RRRTCC due to driver Ajokay signing with newcomers POWA, a team formed by him and fellow season 1 midfield runner Bookoi.
Renault Twingo Supercup
Main article: Renault Twingo SuperCup
Ajokay Motorsport entered their second special event in the form of the Renault Twingo SuperCup. The team set their pink and purple Orgazmo liveried SuperTwingo up conservatively, with a relatively low PI compaired to some other teams at a lowly S 629. The setup worked well though, and on the relatively twisty confines of the Spanish Montserrat complex, the SuperTwingo was reaching top speed at the end of the longest straight, giving nothing away. Having less power meant more control in the corners, a characteristic that other drivers were lacking.
The event proved fruitful for both team and driver, scoring a win, two 3rd places and a fastest lap on the way to 3rd in the cup overall, equal on points with 2nd place Tomcheesey who had scored better results. This left Ajokay ruing his decision to wait at the finish line for Dan 7horn at the end of race 3, having tapped him into a spin at the final corner. The extra point lost would have given him 2nd place overall.
4za Motorsport Championship
Main article: 4za Motorsport Championship
It was confirmed that driver Ajokay returned from his duties with the POWA team in the RRRTCC and reunite with Ajokay Motorsport for the third season of Really Rubbish Racing competition, the 4za Motorsport Championship. For the season, the team, now registered with a Hertfordshire licence, ran an F class Chevrolet Spark, which marked the first time that the team had worked with the American manufacturer.

The season got off to a quiet start with a 10th place in the opening Round, but a pair of 4th places in Rounds 2 and 3 lifted the team's hopes of reaching the podium at some point during the short season. Following 2 more solid top-ten finishes, a season-worst 13th place at Maple Valley after suffering a severe lag attack was book-ended by a second and pair of third positions. Ajokay puled out the drive of his career so far at the Nurburgring to chase down eventual winner TommyB after starting on the back row of the grid. He finished less than half a second behind leader. the final event of the year yielded 3 solid points positions but no further visits to the podium. Ajokay finished the season in 5th place with a total of 80 points, just 2 points clear of POWA team-mate Bookoi but a distant 31 points adrift of season 2 Independent Champion Dan 7horn.
Merry Crashmas (and a Smashy New Year)
Main article: Merry Crashmas (and a Smashy New Year)
To round off 2011, Ajokay Motorsport dragged an old banger out from the bottom of their car pile and after a lot of time, patience, and elbow-grease, fired the engine up and sent the car out for an end-of-year bash, figuratively. After 5 eventful races, the team and driver Ajokay finished way below expectations with a final placing of 9th out of 11, ahead of only a drunk and a driver who, in one race, didnt even manage to reach the start line before wrecking.
F1 Asian Series
Main article: F1 Asian Series
After much peer pressure, bullying, name-calling, and physical abuse from various other members of the club, Ajokay Motorsport entered into the second series of Really Rubbish Racing Formula One competition - the F1 Asian Series - without actually realising it. Upon completing the races at the Hungaroring, driver Ajokay queried "which team was I actually driving for?". Series organiser Smifaye proclaimed that he was racing for Ajokay Motorsport, after his fingers slipped when typing up the official race entry list. Ajokay Motorsport henceforth became an official entry, and had unwittingly recorded a points finish in their first ever race, with 10th place, a feat not even McLaren or Williams can laud over.
In all the confusion, shock and awe surrounding their first entry into the F1 Asian Series, Ajokay Motorsport fired up the wrong car, and sent Ajokay out in a STR6 rather than the 150° Italia they were supposedly told to. It was decided that the result would still count, and all events entered into in the future by the team would be done so in the Maranello-built machine.
For the Korean round the team switched to the Eff-One-Fiftieth-little-circle-Italia, because that's what it was called all along, not the F150, oh no, that was just short hand. Of course Ferrari, of course it was... Anyway, the two races in the sea-side-swamp that the FIA likes to call a race track saw the worst performance ever for the team. A broken front wing caught the driver out, causing the car to run wide and smash into a barrier, recording the team's first ever DNF. The car was re-built in time for the sprint race, which took part in the pouring rain, but received the Hertfordshire outfit's first ever DSQ after driver Ajokay was caught talking on his mobile phone at the start of the race. The poor results took a serious hit on the moral of team members, who shelled out over £17 to be able to field a one-car team for the season.
After missing several races due to real life IndyCar watching commitments, the team returned for the final two rounds at Suzuka. After a slow but steady race to 12th place in the feature race, driver Ajokay made the most of an opportune safety car period that he may or may not have caused to pit for tyres early and follow the leading drivers through to a 6th place finish, netting the team 4 points in the process. This still wasn't enough to lift the team any higher than their current championship position of 11th of 12 with a total of 5 points.
Hyper Global Tourenwagen Masters Nordschleife 90
Main article: HGTM Nordschleife 90
The mid-season brake in the regular HGTM season gave Ajokay Motorsport a chance to stretch their legs in high-powered German machinery. The team loaned a Mercedes Benz AMG C-Class from their friends over at POWA and applied a special livery for the event, which involved a 90-minute blast around the Nurburgring Nordschleife. With lap-times expected to be around the 7-and-a-half minute mark, this equated to 12 laps.
Ajokay started the event from a randomly selected first position, and lead the field through the pit lane to start the race as had been agreed beforehand. A first-lap incident at the Flugplatz held everyone behind up, and allowed the English driver to pull out a decent lead. It wasn't to last though and gradually over the course of the race the faster drivers, including the two CheeseyRug Racing drivers, HGTM championship leader Shouty, the Opel of RumblyLizard, and the 2 competing Indypendables cars, left Ajokay 7th when the chequered flag dropped.
Mid-Engined, Mid-Eighties Series
Main article: Mid-Engined, Mid-Eighties Series

Ajokay announced a return to his privately run team for the Mid Engined, Mid-Eighties Series, the 5th season of Really Rubbish Racing Forza Motorsport competition. The driver will pilot 7 different cars throughout the championship, but the one car that will be driven at every event will be the 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale. The driver and team are hoping to be fighting for podiums and wins after a strong showing in pre-season testing.
The livery design and sponsorship deals were announced in the early hours of the morning of Monday, 23rd April. Following previous seasons, the cars will be predominantly purple with a black and white design. The main sponsor was announced as MTV. The team also debuted their new brand identity, written in the handwriting of team owner Alex Odell.
The season got off to a decent start, with 2 podium places in the first 3 races and lying 2nd in the Championship behind Shouty. The next 2 events saw a string of points finishes, but as the better drivers - including main rival and sometime team-mate Bookoi - filled the top 5 places, Ajokay slipped down the championship table. The mid-season saw 4 consectutive podium positions, 3 of which were scored during the 3 rounds of the Stratos event. After 2 third places in the stock and upgraded Stratos, Ajokay took the lead of the 12th round at Ladera. He lead for well over half the race before losing out to Smifaye, the pressure of being followed by the Black Raptor for the entire race got the better of him... That first win for a long, long time still proving elusive.
Event 5 saw Bookoi retire from the first race and miss the remaining 2 with an unknown issue, but with Ajokay only managing a best result of 6th that night, and a further 2 finishes outside the top-10, the chance to pull ahead by any significant amount was squandered. Just 1 point seperated the drivers.
The end of the season was mired in controversy for the purple car. A light-hearted-hijink-gone-wrong at the Sunset Peninsula round caused Ajokay to be issued with a post-race time penalty, dropping him from 4th to 9th. A penalty described by the driver as "...a bit harsh, considering." This put a real damper on the team's mood for the remaining event, and that coupled with an inability to get to grips with the poorly-handling Lambourghini Miura added two more disappointing results. A third place in the final race at Mugello did little to lift spirits, as the team dropped out of the top 5 in the final championship results, and Ajokay was finally bested by POWA team-mate Bookoi, with his 57 race winless streak still going strong.
Open Season Championship Auto Racing

The announcement of the 6th season of Forza Motorsport competition came just after Really Rubbish Racing celebrated its 1st birthday with the Bon Anniversaire! race at Le Mans (in which Ajokay took a 2nd place in the GT class driving for POWA). In a unique twist, the 24 rounds of the championship were to be picked by the 24 drivers with the most race starts to their name. With 130 since the club began, Ajokay was well placed to choose, and in a nod to his ongoing-yet-sporadical iRacing career, chose a race of Mazda MX-5 Superlights at the iconic Laguna Seca, which is a car-and-track combination raced in the rookie iRacing divisions.
Ajokay Motorsport announced that each car they field during the season will feature a livery made famous by that marque or model, but remaining in the purple, white and black of the team. A new major sponsorship deal was announced with completely-made-up-and-not-at-all-based-on-an-existing-soft-drink company Pandapop.
Despite having some of the best-dressed cars in the series, the season was not a success for team or driver. The first half of the season was dogged with clutch problems and saw Ajokay fall out of the top 10 for several races, although always remaining in the points-scoring positions. With the clutch issues rectified, the later stages of the season picked up somewhat and even produced a rare podium in the Mazda Furai race at Maple Valley. It was too little too late however, and Ajokay finished the championship in 10th place, a career worst and 2 places behind POWA team-mate Bookoi, even though the JemTech driver missed 5 races during the season.
Trofeo MiTo
Main article: Trofeo MiTo
With driver Ajokay turning his focus to racing with team-mate Bookoi in their POWA stable for the GTSSS, Ajokay Motorsport focused on running a single-entry in the support series, the Trofeo MiTo.
After an initial good start to the season with a 4th position in the opening race at Sunset Peninsula Speedway, a 14th and 15th followed in the next 2 rounds, including a collision with TommyB at Catalunya, Really Rubbish Racing's 200th official race. The season ended on a high however, with a 2nd place finish at the final race at Road Atlanta behind Smifaye, who took the title that evening. Ajokay finished the season a solid 6th out of a total 24 entries with 110 points.

With Ajokay's continuted partnership with Bookoi in the POWA team - now defending the teams title they won during the Nihon Tour season - the team owner decided to take a step into the unknown for his privateer outfit. Running for the first time in direct competition with POWA, SECS will mark the first season where Ajokay Motorsport has competed without team owner Ajokay driving for them and instead the purple and white cars will be home to two rookie drivers. Da10n1 will make his first season starts for the team, having competed in the TURD special event in a Mustang. Storming83 will continue on with the team having impressed during a one-off appearance at the end of the Nihon Tour season. He brings a lot of sponsorship money from rather posh supermarket chain Waitrose, and somewhat less sponsorship money (some bottlecaps and a piece of string) from BadgerGP.com.
For the SECS support series FART, Ajokay will be joining Da10n1 in the two Abarth 500 cars, with Storming racing for his own team Conquest Motorsport International.
