The 2012 F1 Summer Series (F1-3) was the third and final season of Really Rubbish Racing Formula 1 and the last championship using F1 2011 for the Xbox 360 games console.
The season took place over ten events across the Summer of 2012 and featured some new regulations aimed at tightening up the competition throughout the field.
The series also featured a mid-season special event - the Rainmeister Cup.
The season was the last time the club used the F1 2011 game due to F1 2012 being released not long after. Smifaye goes into the championship with two titles to his name and is looking to make it a third in a row, something that has never happened before in the history of the club. The new regulations aim to reduce the Black Raptors driver's advantage and will hopefully bring the field closer together. Two of the biggest names in RRR F1 are not racing this season, Shouty and Superdelphinus. This provides the rest of the field with the opportunity for race wins. RumblyLizard is retained by the Black Raptors team and will be piloting the FW33 chassis along with Smifaye. It will be a first F1 appearance for the POWA name after Pudding GP drivers Bookoi and Mr Flobadob parted ways after 1 season together. Ajokay and Bookoi will be driving the MVR02 and will be looking for race victories and podium finishes. The Indypendables will be racing again with Butler258, STR TommyB, Icthyes and Dan Thorn driving Ferrari powered machines. Last season was a tough one for the most famous team in the world but it will be looking for strong points finishes and snatching podiums and wins. Virtue Racing are back after Tommo N7 made his F1 debut during F1-2. He will be partnered by Mr Flobadob and they will be challenging the established teams for the spoils. Feta Motorsport are back with Tomcheesey and JayCoops heading the battle of the midfield teams. Jay had the edge over Tom last season but the main thing the team will be looking for is better attendance. 1FR Motorsport will make their debut with FlavouryRug and Y2jisaok driving the MGP W02, a car that had been Shouty's since before the club even started. Firecruiser Racing will be looking to improve upon last season's fairing.

Regulations
There are two key regulation changes for this season.
With a view to making competition closer and the cars easier to drive, fuel simulation has been turned off. Tyre simulation remains on.
After two seasons of glitches and issues surrounding the Safety Car it has also been turned off. It will hopefully return in future seasons if the problems it leads to have been ironed out in future iterations of the game.
Flags are set to reduced. All stewarding decisions take place after the race and drivers can be disqualified, given a time penalty, or even banned from further participation in the championship.
The weather is set to dynamic.
Driver Behaviour
When defending a position on track drivers are not permitted to make more than one move to defend. Drivers are not permitted to move in the braking zones. Cutting corners of the track are not permitted and should be punished by the ingame penalty system, repeated corner cutting will result in a time penalty or disqualification from the event. If you go off the track please ensure you rejoin the track safely as to not cause a collision.
