Introduction to the team

History

Season 4 - V8 Australicars

After racing against each other for half of a season, Manuel de Samaniego and Joe Nathan joined up to become Valor Racing Team. The team made its debut in 2015 at Hidden Valley with Joe Nathan scoring points and Manuel de Samaniego experiencing bad luck. The second event saw Joe Nathan once again score points while Manuel did not attend. Set on capitalizing on the double-points event, both Joe and Manuel scored points at Bathurst with Joe scoring a career best fifth place. Joe continued his points scoring streak by finishing in the top ten for the sixth and seventh straight time, carrying the weight for Valor. At Melbourne, Valor was absent from competition and fell back on points but bounced back with Joe's performance at Barbagallo. After a stewarding decision and even an appeal from the sixteen-year-old, Joe was relegated from 3rd to 4th but still bumped Valor up to sixth place in the teams championship.

With one week until the race at Circuit of the Americas, Manuel and Joe revealed the "AmeriCar" for the upcoming competition in Austin, Texas, United States. The race began with the Valor team running 4th and 5th until Manuel experienced a steering failure and was forced to retire from the event in race one. Joe continued on to finish 4th and 7th.

Heading into the final couple of races at Surfer's Paradise, Joe knew he had an opportunity for the Rookie Title but fell short after only being able to claim his first career podium due to suffering a frozen computer in the middle of the two races. Valor finished comfortably in sixth place with the majority of the points coming from Joe Nathan (97 out of 99). Manuel's bad luck and his distaste of the cars set the team back in its title contention but expects to be in contention for the title in season five with a blue camouflage car and a motivated crew.
