Mega GT World Tour was the 16th season of console-based competition for Really Rubbish Racing, the third to be raced on Gran Turismo 6 for the Playstation 3.

This was a Super GT500 season, a spiritual successor to the Canon Mega GT 200 Special Event which was held on Forza Motorsport 4 in late 2013.

Drivers competed in 1 of 3 Super GT500 race cars (some of the fastest GT racing cars in the world) across a variety of racetracks in Sprint, Feature and Endurance Races.

Format & Regulations

Car Specifications

Please note that the numbers outlined below were "exact numbers"; a car could not have "up to 490bhp" or "at least 1100kg", it had to have the exact numbers specified below.

Cars were be checked by the event host prior to the beginning of each race, any drivers running a car of an incorrect specification were asked to fix their settings.

If a driver was found to have competed in a race with an "illegal car", they would have been disqualified from the race results.

Event Format

Events started with an open practice session from 7:30pm GMT.

At 8:00pm, provided all confirmed drivers were connected and ready, they advanced to a seven minute qualifying session.

All cars were on track together for qualifying, starting from the pit lane. This session set the grid for the first race each evening.

Race one was always a 30 minute Feature Race.

Race two was always a 20 minute Sprint Race, with a grid reversed from the results of race one.

Points were awarded equally in both races.

Note: Event 4 at Suzuka was a single, 60 minute Endurance Race instead of 2 individual races.

Event 4's race also awarded double points to drivers.
