The Gran Turismo Touring Car Championship, or "GTTCC" is the first unofficial (non-championship) Really Rubbish Racing series. The championship was raced using Gran Turismo 5 on the PlayStation 3..
The GTTCC began on Tuesday, 20th July 2011 and ended a year and two months later, gaining infamy among Really Rubbish Racing as the club's longest running series.
All cars must be chosen from a list of permitted cars. Cars can be tuned freely, but must be limited to no more than 550PP (Performance Points.)
Points are scored from 1st down to 10th place: 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. Drivers who fail to complete a race do not score points, even if there are less than 10 competitors.
The top five cars in each race must run the next race with success ballast as follows:
- 1st - 45kgs
- 2nd - 36kgs
- 3rd - 27kgs
- 4th - 18kgs
- 5th - 9kgs
After ballast has been applied, drivers may not bring themselves back up to the 550PP limit by increasing the power or using other means.
No more than two competitors may use the same car.
Boost will be set to low. This was a last minute rule introduced for the first race after it was found that certain cars had an unfair performance advantage, even with the Performance Points ruling.
