Here we are, getting set for 54 grueling laps of the brilliant Road Atlanta circuit.
The field of 18 drivers await the start of the formation lap.
Lee bounces back from a dismal weekend at Long Beach to take pole position.
Last round's race winner Kyran will line up alongside him, looking to get ahead early.
A thin blanket of tyre smoke covers the back straight as the drivers try to get heat into their brakes and tyres.
Forming up for a double file start, waiting for the safety car to pull in...
The green flag waves! Lee gets away well with Kyran under threat from the two aureus cars of Mike and Björn on the run to the first corner.
The Tropico cars round out the field, as everyone gets away cleanly.
The first retirement comes after a handful of laps. Allie badly damaging the rear suspension of her Lola.
Tommy quickly follows suit, at least I think that's Tommy... too much smoke...
A possible suspension failure for Lambert puts Tropico down to one car.
After a cautious couple of laps, Kyran attacks Lee and slipstreams into the lead!
Contact! Kyran is facing the wrong way and his hopes for a successive victory are fading rapidly.
Another wretched weekend for Matt, with the sole Howler Racing machine out it gives Team Penguin a huge opportunity to close the gap in the Teams' Championship...
...but it's a disaster! The tyres cry enough and Will is unceremoniously thrown into the barriers and retires from the race.
Craig and Dan enjoy a good back and forth battle, this could last all race!
I spoke too soon! That's Craig's wheel and it's not where it should be! An unfortunate end to yet another strong showing.
That must be Heatlie! The Scot sticks it around the outside and takes seventh away from April. Important points for Sgioba Alba.
The lone Kaibutsu of Campbell goes into the wall hard at The Esses and destroys the front right corner.
More drama at the end of the race as the Swift of James Price-Harper develops a terminal issue, when will a race go his way?
He doesn't always finish these races, but when he does, it's on the podium! Björn takes his second podium of the season.
Wait, he's actually racing? After being reported missing in the pre-season, he's back! For the first time this season Sam Hirani makes an appearance and finishes fourth. Bwoah.
With yet another destructive drive, it's all Lee as he takes win number four to further extend his championship lead!
