Reigning champion Mark Gormley took a second win in succession and a well-deserved lead in Realish Rally Championship 3. The Bad Pun Racing driver won five of the six stages and finished nearly two minutes ahead of his nearest challenger, Nic Readhead, who led a very tight race for the remaining podium places; he was less than a second ahead of PJ Tierney with the other Bad Pun Racing driver Mark Singleton only another four seconds off the podium.
The with the demanding Finnish stages causing problems for most drivers at some point, the midfield battle ebbed and flowed throughout the rally, with Sam Hill ultimately edging out fellow Scot Allie Ferrie. Lazaros Filippakos was disappointed with 7th, ahead of Neil Sheard. Chris Williamson scored his first points of the season in 9th, while Campbell Wallis rounded out the point scorers.
Remarkably, all fifteen drivers who started were classified finishers, though Mike Bell recorded a DNF in the final stage.
