End of Year Awards 2019

Postby tonyandmargaret » 21 Dec 2019, 16:14

After the sad death retirement of @craighypheno I’m in charge of this year’s awards. What could possibly go wrong? The categories are the same as last year so no need to tax your brain too hard.

The deadline for your nominations will be the 5th of January 2020. Vote by sending me a PM, with your answers. Please keep your answers a secret.

The event will may be livestreamed, with the provisional date being Yes:00pm on Sunday, January yesth. You are all invited to this special awards ceremony, and winners will be invited along to give victory speeches.

So, here are the 22 categories for you all to vote on, democratically (what is democracy?) of course.

Best driver
No brainer, this. Which driver has excelled in 2019?

Best rookie
An amount of rookies have come and joined Realish in 2019 - some with more success than others. Who has come out on top for you?

Best international driver
We have added drivers to our roster from different countries this year, in addition to some of our longstanding members. Who has been on top, out of those from overseas?

Most improved driver
Be it through magic setups, or through driving technique, who has improved more than the rest this year?

Best team
No brainer, this. Which team has excelled in 2019?

Best livery
One of the best things about this club is the imagination among the liveries. Which has been your favourite?

Best season
From (insert series), to (insert second series) to screaming (insert third series here) cars, with FORMULA CARS GEARS all in there as well, which season was your favourite in 2019?

Best special event
The number of special events came down a bit this year (did they?), but the hilarity of (insert special event) to the democracy of (insert special event) and timeless classics such as Cruddy, Crashmas and Bon Anniversaire! all provided much fun for us all. Which was the best?

Best car
In which car could you just lap, and lap, and lap and lap?

Worst car
And which car was you happy to see the back of as soon as possible?

Best game
We have run both Automobilista and rFactor 2 in 2019, as well as our usual venture onto Wreckfest. Which has been your favourite?

Best-dressed driver
This one is self-explanatory. Be it through wearing smart clothes or smart fur damn furry trash, who is the best-dressed?

Best beard
This is the one everyone wants to win. Okay, the one most people want to win.

Best on-track battle
Realish has featured many epic fights this year. Which one was the most memorable?

Best individual performance
Many drivers had a chance to shine throughout the year. Some took their chances, while others did not. But who delivered the most surprisingly impressive performance during the year?

Best crash
Thanks to the wonders of Gfycat, we now get to watch crashes more frequently. Which was the best?

Best non-crash gif/moment
The one new continuing category of the year! It's not just the crashes that are funny. Spins, lag attacks, engine failures, new emojis on Discord. Which was your favourite?

Favourite off-track activity
From shotting vodka at Silverstone to Banter With Your Friends to making incredible raps on Mad Verse City on Jackbox, there has been more as well. Which activity away from the Realish tracks, which involved other Realish members, was your favourite?

Best RlyRism
We have had some very interesting things randomly said over the year. Take a pick from the list.

The 'Lost Souls' award
We often say goodbye to members, as they go and do life things. Who do you miss from the grid the most?

Most enthusiastic member
Some members put in extra hours to keep Realish truckin'. Who deserves that extra nod of appreciation for the effort they put in?

The Spirit of RlyR
Who embraces the wise old saying of 'From the green light to the blue flag, we race for fun because we're not very good' better than anybody else?
2x
Most Improved Driver 2015 & 2017 and 3rd most improved 2016. Best dressed and joint best individual performance 2017. Cut price Davide Valsecchi for VLMS and VEC. Inaugural Reigning, Defending, Current Rally Champion of the World.
