RlyR Favourite Liveries

Postby GremlinWon » 22 Jul 2019, 16:36

Just a bit of fun and for those that like to reminisce since I was scrolling through old screenshots on my Steam, I thought I'd share.

Show us your RlyR favourite liveries from past and present.
Personally for me, the following 2 are my favourite liveries I have produced for my team in the past. It was a proud moment to achieve these as my skills with photoshop etc. are really rubbish...

Cruddy Car - Rapid Fit Lola

My favourite Original: Turismo Motorsport Corvette C7-R

Oh man, where do I begin...

Image
I can't find any photos of my car, but I remember being really excited by the livery that @MasterOntWolf did for me in GEARS '14-'15. It was the season I made my Realish debut. In a race where I predicted Rob's engine failure on his settings, warned him, and then got to feel all smug when he disregarded my suggestion and it happened anyway. (Is it bad that I remember that?)

Image
My absolute favourite livery I ever got to drive is this one by @pyjames91. Originally a Cruddy livery, it was so good we ended up reusing it for CCWS... And then again for the next Cruddy. James has done some stunning liveries over the years. One of the most meticulously hard working people I've ever met, and it really pays off when he comes up with so many varied liveries that all look fantastic. I love how the theme came to life in this one.

Some others that weren't mine that I loved coming next...
Image
Never raced, but @KJP93 's Bagelmobile is beautiful

Image
Image
The Gozdilla vs. King Kong cars the Offenders rocked for Nihon Tour

Image
The 7Up car made for Jay for Nihon Tour (but I don't think ever raced?)

Also thank you to @MasterOntWolf @Bye_Jr @pyjames91 @KJP93 and @shaxberd for painting cars I've raced at Realish, as well as @ajokay for painting some I raced outside Realish! You're all brilliant and I really appreciate what you've done. <3

Oh god there's so many. Not even going to try and hide my bias here so here goes:

@KJP93's beautiful team color-inspiring pink Lola for me in BA6:

Image

My very own nationalised Porsche that never raced at BA7:

Image

Another one I did, this time The Most Greek Lancer Ever™ for @lazaros18:

Image

Speaking of Lazaros, his own design for RETCH:

Image

Also from the same event, Kyran's 3rd-mobile and @lemming77's Tide Pods car:

Image
Image

How this one didn't win Best Livery is beyond me.

Image

And I wish in hindsight I'd turned up for this one. VR gremlins meant no, but how I wish I may get to mix Jagerbombs in the future...

Image

Finally, to round out the bias, the best livery I've made for Realish competition:

Image

And the one livery I ever made that @Lin1876 said "isn't that bad, actually".

Image

Here's to many more! Thanks to everyone who's ever made one for me!

Here comes a mixed bag. I can't think of a livery i've raced that I havn't enjoyed, some highlights include my two championship winners,
Image RRTCC3
and
Image FR2K
as well as my HETM ride
Image
and a special mention to the awesome livery with the stupid headlights that was my BA7
Image
and, of course, Das Wunderbar Schnappiwagen(s)
Image
Image

As for other cars, im still a big fan of the Kaibutus Gears 2016 livery (as well as other cars sharing the same design, HBTM and HETM)
Image
Not sure if anyone has figured this out yet, but I like purple, so, naturally, tend to enjoy the UPA liveries
Image
Image
Image
not forgetting when I got a UPA car too
Image
And, as per most other things, Chris is awesome, and though Nijo hasn't technically made its debut at Realish, doesn't change the fact the Nijo scheme is awesome
Image

Not a livery per-say, but still, I want this as a poster IRL someday
Image

Also, my favourate personal creation (admittedly, from a list shorter then Craig), from Berlingo Bingo
Image

Credits for these go to @Robert Wiesenmueller, @shaxberd, @KJP93, @Lin1876, @Chris Williamson and, of course, the best one last, @Mike Bell, clearly.... :)

The Kaibutsu chevron design has appeared on a lot more than that!

GEARS World Cup
Image

HBTM
Image

GEARS 2016
Image

Cruddy 2016
Image

RaceDepartment IndyCar World Series (and Cruddy 2018 with the RD logos airbrushed out)
Image

HETM
Image

Formula R2000 (technically this is a Minardi M190 knock off but it's close enough)
Image

And I'm sure it'll appear again next time I run out of inspiration.

I'm not going to post any more of my own liveries here since I design the vast majority of the liveries I race here (and even for me that would be a bit self-congratulatory) so a few I've particularly enjoyed over the years.

@DanThorn's Kernowsport Benetton knock off for the Formula R Festival
Image

@TommyWTF1's Indypendables Lunging Crashes livery from GEARS World Cup
Image

@pyjames91's disturbing Brazzers livery
Image

@KJP93's outrageously good Fury Racing Formula R10
Image

@sin_racing's Cruddy Bull, purely for the sheer amount of work it must have taken!
Image

So many of @ajokay's POWA creations, so I'm just going to pick this one from my first season

Off the top of my head...
Indypendables have many good liveries...
International Masters of Formula R 2.0 livery
Image

and from the GTSSS
Image

Of my own liveries, i really like the ones from OSCAR, which were mostly palette-swaps/re-imaginings of real liveries, but in a season where everyone had to paint 24 different cars, I feel that was sensible.
