DiRT Rally 2.0

Postby Pharad » 08 Mar 2019, 07:34

Anyone still alive in this forgotten corner of the forum? DiRT Rally 2.0 seems like the kind of game for me but don't quite want to buy it yet without knowing much. Any feedback on it guys?

I'd say it's pretty good.

Well, I'm back, did end up buying the game and absolutely loving it! Got it quite a bit cheaper as well, which is always nice. Got to say, my second favorite game behind Forza Horizon 4 atm.

For anyone looking to buy, heres where I got mine for around 25$ (Snip)

Carry on, everybody, nothing to see here. :)

Speaking of, I need to actually put more time into this game. Haven't tried it on the new wheel yet, but even so it is fun just on a controller.

I am a little disappointed it doesn't seem to have exploded in the community. In DR1 I was seeing leagues crop up everywhere I went, they were impossible to avoid. Now though, I've not seen any. And no one's ranting and raving about how brilliant it is either. Maybe because it wasn't discounted early on, so very few people have actually bought it.

Don't get me wrong, it's good fun. But part of me still wants to do RRC2 at some point.

I want to love it so bad but I just can’t force myself to dive into it until they fix the ffb. It’s annoying they’re bringing out dlc but it’s still undrivable with a wheel.

Maybe that's why Codemasters are sending bots onto forums to remind everyone it exists. To be honest, I didn't realise there was a second one. But the first one reminded me why I don't do rally games any more, so I doubt 2 will be on my list.

I really enjoyed Dirt Rally, havn't picked up DR2 yet. The only place where DR fell down is in a lack of content vs 'the daddy' of rally games, RBR, and its RSRBR mods. May pick it up at some point soon if I get a reason to.

Honestly, given the attention span I tend to give any games lately that are not relevant to our racing endeavours here, the only reason why I could see myself purchasing it is if Realish does organise a RRC2. Not because it's a bad proposition or anything like that, but I'm simply lacking time for the luxury of splitting my spare time between multiple titles :P

If you feel like competing against real WRC drivers, the Solbergs have set up a challenge!
