Congrats @Kimstermagnum on the win, and more importantly to everyone who survived and persevered to the end! :D

Just not that interested in these cars' snappiness. So taking the fastest lap of the race on the freshest Super Soft tires was the most appealing strategy after my first mistake ruined my chances on lap 7. :P

Well.....I made it to the end at least :) That's pure winning right there

Only went through about 7 nose cones :) Just pushing too much, and trying to find pace I didn't have.

Was a good race though, and good experience in learning these (first time out in these under race conditions), and generally driving SCE too - I've been neglecting it some what.

Apologies, forgot to say goodnight on TS

Podium!

Taking my front wing off in the second stint did horrible things to my strategy because it meant I'd be running the last two stints right to the limit. It nearly came horribly undone when I had a crash when my tyres hit the cliff at the end of third stint, but thankfully I was only two corners away from the pits to fix the damage. Thankfully Lee and Joe hit trouble so I had minimal pressure in the final stint.

Absolutely loved that! The cars are super-punishing but you can really get into a flow with them. The tyre wear wasn't as horrible as I expected either.

That was excellent!

Didn't go into it expecting much with no practice so stuck the mediums on and hoped to pick up positions through getting gradually faster and through others mistakes. Largely this was successful despite losing a few front wings and some suspension damage. I'm happy with fourth :)

Hadn't practiced, in fact I don't think I'd driven those cars properly before and I was expecting them to drive like the brilliant Formula Reizas... and they did not.

Had absolutely no confidence at all and couldn't push. Finally got some pace on the super softs but then had a go on the softs and the car just would not turn in at all.

My own fault for not practicing enough.

Me and April wanted everyone to get a good setup, or what we thought was a good setup, so as to enjoy the cars as much as possible. However this was a tricky track with walls close by to punish any mistakes. Hopefully this becomes a season long thing and when we go to Tilke tracks (Like Bahrain next) it'll be better with all the run off. But hopefully we generated enough interest with last nights race.

I really enjoyed it! Got pole, just, then thought I'll do a very slow warm up lap to try and cause minimal tyre wear. But I overdid it and overshot Turn 1. I then got back up to 4th and had a great battle with @DanThorn, sadly I hit Dan on my in lap, sorry about that. My plan was to do 4 stints. SS (7 laps) and 3 stints on the Soft (17 laps). Though my Soft tyres only lasted 16 laps so the last lap of every stint was chaos. In the end after mine and @lemming77's mistakes we ended the race 1.5 seconds apart going into the final DRS detection point. April went all out there and spun. Was a superb race with 2 different strategies.

More important that set up, I think, was learning how to drive the cars and that only comes with practice. It's definitely a car you need to drive in a specific way and work with it rather than against it. That said, once you do that, it's great fun to drive and you start to appreciate just how much power and grip you have.

I was really expecting to last maybe 20 laps before a race-ending lapse of concentration but I was amazed how straightforward a 90 minute race actually was.

Although I generally enjoyed it last night I don't think I'll be doing any more of them I'm afraid; the evening and the races are a bit too long to hold my attention on for an unofficial club series.
