Nismo GT3. So why would you not get the DP1?

Those two road cars I am perfectly fine with. Finally I can make a comparison video between a real and virtual lap of Silverstone International circuit in a street-spec GT-R

Pretty good road cars though! The Miura will be a laugh, the quattro is only just a road car and the GT86 is huge fun on whatever game you drive it on.

I must admit the lineup looks a lot more sporty than some of the wallowing lards currently available so hopefully they'll be fun.

There.. There is no download link, is there? Or is that me just being blind?

(Also, there is another RS01 mod out there, which unfortunately is pretty.. meh)

I think I may have been mixed up between the two. The crap one is a port from Real Racing, which thoroughly explains why it looks that way. I saw a download link for one but it must have been the rubbish one as this good one is yet to be officially released. I jumped the gun a bit ;)

I've seen quite a lot of ports of cars from other games, mostly road cars. They actually don't look too bad, but they're never as impressive as mods made from the ground up. I've seen a Bentley Continental GT3 ported from somewhere and it looks a bit meh. Thankfully someone is making a ground up mod of that car so we'll have a proper one of those soon enough ;)

Also, here is proof that we have a Formula E mod on it's way. This is being redesigned from the Rfactor mod and it's looking pretty good here. The sounds seem absolutely spot on. We'll need some bumpy tracks to drive them on though!

I found this thread earlier today and I fired up AC to try some of the mods out. Even although I have everything turned down to the point where it is only a small screen in the middle of the screen I was amazed. I don't remember AC being so impressive last time I tried it. Even with the shit graphics I was totally immersed within a couple of laps. That McLaren mod is fantastic. But now I'm away on holiday and I've got to wait 2 weeks to have another go :(

Yup, found that one as well, it said "Slightly Mad Studios" on the wind screen ad banner. Wonder which game it got ripped out of ;)

The model is presumably from Gran Turismo so it looks a bit shit, the audio sounds like it's from a different car already in the game and the physics look a bit messed up but it's a thing if you want it.

I did wonder how long it'd take. The thing is, it will never perform as in real life as Nissan are only just getting used to it. It'll all be based on speculation with it being a monster FWD Le Mans car. Certainly sounds weird too.

So I've given the classic F1 cars a go and I'm amazed that I can hang onto those cars. I remember way back before multiplayer for AC was released, I wasn't able to drive them half a lap but now I have much better control over them. It's amazing how far I've come as a sim racer when it comes to handling and controlling a race car. Now if only I can find some more pace ;)

Any chance for a special event with the Lotus type 49 or the Ferrari?

A full GP distance (300km + remainder of lap) in one of the classic F1 cars would be pretty spectacular!... But maybe that's a bit optimistic on my part. :P

It would be good to have a few spontaneous races on this. Such as the MP4-12C v. The 458. Or the P1 v. Laferrari and such. Not so much club races as just a few folk going on together randomly

Yeah I'd love to have a pretty lengthy race in a classic F1 car. It would be a blast.

Maybe some "spontaneous races" here and there, but really I'd prefer a competitive environment with those cars.

Perhaps after we know more about running events on the game we can try something adventurous like that . There is an event prepared that I'll announce after the 1.2 update goes live some time this month so it's in the works! It's definitely not a retro F1 car though!

We had the Superprix last year, which was a nearly two hour race in the F3000 car on a street circuit in the driving rain, which generally went down well, so there's definite scope. I'd definitely like us to use the classic cars at some point, maybe a historic cup?

Just saw this over on isrtv.com

IER have released a new WIP video of their Porsche 991 911 GT3 GTA (Porsche nomenclature isn’t confusing at all…) in action at Assetto Corsa’s version of Spa.
