Hey it's actually worth me posting in here now!

So my car history is quite short, no racing pedigree like some people, but also a major lack of photos of my actually cars so I apologise for the Google Images stuff.

2007-2008 Citreon Saxo - S Reg Silver
Got this little beaut off my mum 1.1i (shared with technically) when I passed my test at 17. It was a beast, and like many others, had a clock rather than a revmeter and took forever to do anything.

2008-2011 Seat Ibiza - 51 Reg Silver
I got bored of the Saxo after a year and opted for this instead. It had the fantastic MAHOOSIVE light clusters on the back, which didnt really do a lot. But it was nice to step up to a 1.4. Was fairly happy with this car up until the point where the clutch pedal broke off!

2011-2012 Fiat Bravo TJet Dynamic - 57 Reg Silver
So I have to get another car. My parents found me a list of Fiestas, Minis, and Corsas. And when we went and looked at them a brilliant salesmen sussed that I wasn't pleased with the options ahead of me and showed me the Bravo. 1.4 Turbo charged and great fun.

2012-present Nissan 350z Black 56 Reg
I decided with my new job and a bit more cash coming in I could change the car a bit earlier than planned. Started looking around at what I might be interested in and found a lot of fun new toy options. Then found 350Zs were in this price bracket. When the insurance turned out acceptable I got myself 3.5Litres of FUN!!

It's also the first car I've ever owned which has, near enough, been in Forza, so thats quite nice too.

Dude! A 350z?! Very jealous. I did see one whilst I was shopping around for my Fiesta. Was just too close to the top end of the price brackets, especially with insurance and petrol factored in.

I was bored of compromising trying to find a practical fun car that would make some people go "ooh that's nice" so at £800 for my first year non specialist insurance at 22 I thought why not. It is a lot of fun too!

That crazy cheap insurance! I pay that for my Alfa. Do you have your car guarded by the SBS in a locked compound in the safest town in England or something?

Hi all, being 15 my car history isn't great.

In fact, it's almost non-existant. The only car I have ever driven was my dad's crappy red Renault Espace that he recieved for free (no idea why). I only drove that around the car park before I stalled and hit the telegraph pole. After that, his Espace never really ran as well as it did. It could never build up the speed fast enough to get through the traffic lights and railway crossings like it use to. After about a year of constant over heating brakes and backfiring engine, he scraped it for about £10.

My dad then got an old Ford Mondeo, in blue, with water-damaged paint, which was given to him by my Granddad.

Not one for my car history as such, but as my car is in the garage today I have the loan of a new-shape Micra (same as the one in Forza) for the day. Not sure what engine it has but it can't be larger than a 1.2.

I can report that it is totally average at everything it does, apart from the CVT gearbox fitted to this one, which is just shite. Within 500 yards I was already yelling at it to "fucking move". The steering also feels even more disconnected than it does in my car.

Also, in many respects it's worse than the car it replaced (the one I have): the interior quality is worse and the styling both inside and out is considerably blander (I know the old one is a bit girly but it does at least look like someone could be bothered to style it).

Rant over, just wanted to tell you all not to buy one - not that any of you were thinking of it anyway!

There are some epic cars in your cars histories! I did my test in a bright yellow, early 90's Mark 1 Golf (yeah early 90's...they sold them new until late 2009 in SA...releasing a "new" model every year with different rims, interior and name) which belonged to my drivign instructor.

My first car was a white 1993 Nissan Sentra 160GX which used to be my dad's, I loved it even though I had to always park it on a hill at Uni because it would never start! It also had heaps wrong with the engine because my dad once drove it in the middle of summer and didn't realise it had no water in it, completely cooking the engine! The SA model was slightly different from the ones you guys had in the UK (which were horrid), looked kinda like this: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDgwWDY0MA==/ ... ~~48_2.JPG

That was replaced by a blue 2007 Citroen C2 1.4 VTR (again, SA models are different) whcih my parents got for me on the premise that I took over the payments and insurance once I started working, which I did. It was the only car of mine to date to have a name, Le Bleu. It was epic fun to drive, its wee engine loved to be thrased and it looked fantastic. Surprisingly I had not a single fault with it! It was a little something like this: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDgwWDY0MA==/ ... ~~48_2.JPG

In 2009 I bought my first car myself, a 2009 Honda Civic hatch 1.8 Vxi. The only thing that was wrong with it was the colour...it was red simply because I couldn't find a blue one I could afford!

After moving to the UAE in 2010 I got my current car, a 2009 Mark 5 VW Golf R32 with the DSG gearbox. It's epic in every single way and it sounds amazing. It is unfortunately also red, because I couldn't find a blue one that didn't have a million miles on the clock. I've been thinking of replacing it for a while now but I can't decide what would top it because it is such a good all-rounder. I was thinking maybe an Impreza...but I can't find a second hand one which is unmodified.

I have to say, some really cool car histories in these parts, both road and racing. Mine is a little less exotic than most but my current hunk of metal is my pride and joy. However starting from the top my first car, which lasted all of 4 months before someone (me....) wrote it off was a '96 white Citroen Saxo, it looked exactly like a chest freezer on wheels.

As a replacement for the bent Saxo i decided to invest in a snazzy '01 1.0l Vauxhall Corsa, i quickly realised something was suspiciously wrong with its road handling behaviour and i suspect the left rear suspension was buckled/broken/snapped/all the above at some point as the car went all "wobbly" in right handers but it didn't matter, 12 months later and i biffed it into a scary man's X5 writing the Corsa off (anybody needs a lift from me, just shout ;) ) but barely scratching his BMW.

A period without a car eventually led to a hand me down '96 Fiesta from an emigrating relative who needed to shift it sharpish and, thankfully, i managed to keep this in one piece for the duration of my ownership but i think that has more do to with no power steering and about 10 horses under the bonnet than a dramatic improvement in my driving.

Finally i decided i wanted to buy a car that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside so i decided to get a wizzy little french car, a Twingo 133 Cup, and i haven't looked back since. Ringo the Twingo (the best i could come up with) makes me smile every time i step outside my house, walk up the drive or, preferably, take her onto a good B road for some fun. And the best bit? I haven't written her off... yet. My precious parked up in Cheddar Gorge... (A great driving road, incidentally)

Cheddar gorge is a brilliant driving road. Made some special trips there for no reason many a time, although the last time I went there was on the way to Thruxton with Ratonedge and we spent most of the time going up it on the wrong side of the road because there was some cycle race going on. That was quite scary at times

Ha, that would be a tad scary along that road! I found the black goats (I think they were goats anyway) to be a nice addition to the road from time to time, certainly helped keep your mind on what might be around the corner. Regardless it is a very fun road, really eggs you on.

Seems harsh, you had two wheels each and Dan would have been using the pedals.
