Because it's not a 3rd party phone I don't have all that Samsung/HTC/Sony crap you don't need and can't uninstall, and when you buy it it's unlocked so you can get whatever you want. I've got a sim-only contract with 3 where I get 200mins, unlimited text and 25GB of 4g for £17 a month.

I've been an android lover for years but I'm starting to sway towards the iPhone SE I think it was called.

Here's a man who has played the field.

The newer phones didn't do that much more than what my 5S did and there was no reason for me to continue spending huge money on another contract. As a result I just kept the phone and paid a sim only contract, which has saved me so much money.
My battery was indeed messed up by the end of the contract though. I'd be lucky to get to the end of the day with it alive, which is to be expected from a two year old cell. As a result, I just went to a local shop and had the battery replaced for £20. Now the battery life is literally as good as new and lasts a good couple of days if I don't play games, which I don't really do any way.
T'was the best phone decision of my life.
