So the trailer has surfaced.

Personally I think it looks brilliant. The graphics look stunning, with the series returning to the sunny climates of the better games. it still looks gritty and realistic though, which I don't mind. I'll play Saints Row 3 for batshit crazy antics. GTA's all about the detail and satire, along with an epic area to explore and the general atmosphere of the entire thing. And this game looks like it'll have all of that.

Plus if the online multiplayer street racing mode is anywhere near as good as GTA IV's was (and good it was... very very good. So much fun to be had and easily could have been a full racing game on its own merits), then I propose a Really Rubbish Racing Los Santos Street Racing Championship*.

You know it makes sense.

*Only if you're a club member over 18 years of age, of course.

I literally can not wait for this game. It's a toss up between GTA & Mass Effect for my favourite series. Also, its been said it may come out 24th of May. A delivery truck as '2405' on it. Not convinced? Song in the trailer was released on 24th of May. Bizarre coincidence? Time will tell....

Oh, and I forgot to add, I'll be getting it on PS3, although the possibility of playing it with you guys makes me reconsider.... and I will be 18 by then

I'll definately be getting it on 360. I do have a PS3, but in recent months it's become nothing more than a glorified Blu-Ray and iPlayer player.

Yeah it looks fantastic - I'll definitely be getting it. I've always been a big GTA fan since the original liberty city, I used to waste so many hours when I was younger just cruising around exploring. I hope they make the sandbox on this game massive, that was one of the aspects of San Andreas that I loved so much. Driving off the top of Mount Chilliad, flying planes across cities, hooking up multiple tractors to each other. All epic.

A GTA street race will definitely be in order Alex. GTA IV's race mode was very enjoyable indeed, especially canonball runs as they were so unpredictable! I also love the fact we could be potentially playing as Tommy Vercetti again! Bring on GTA V!

For me, GTA hasn't been much fun since GTA 3 came out. Vice City was alright but San Andreas was just too over the top, too big and no fun. These days I'd much rather sit and play GTA 1, London or 2. I didn't buy 4 and I won't be buying 5.

Haha, how did you not find San Andreas fun! It's arguably the best game in the series! And you're definitely missing out, GTA 4 was great too, and fun - see my video for proof

May would be better, I'll be far too tied up with Bioshock Infinite in March :mrgreen:

Historically, Rockstar games are repeatedly delayed as they finetune them, so I expect this might slip back to Summer, but yes, a definite purchase. I really ought to finish 4 at some point...

When you say finish 4, do you mean 4 main game or 4 the 2 expansion packs? Because they are both very well worth the money too.

I also think we should do some GTA street racing in RRR, because, well, it's easily as good as any other street racing game.

Both. I have both the expansions, but decided I wanted to complete the main story before starting them. Might be a while...

I have seen bit of them played through though. I love that if you make Louis drink enough he'll black out and wake up in a random part of the city the next day :lol:

I've done plenty of the online racing and its brilliant. We should have a bash sometime. There's a number of wins online achievement I'm after.

The Ballad of Gay Tony expansion is definitely the most fun of the 3 games, even of only for the character voiced by Omid Djalili.

The screenshots from this game are looking nothing short of stunning. The environment looks absolutely massive, the landscapes varied, the city teeming with life.

I can't wait. The one thing I loved about San Andreas more than anything was just being able to explore. Grab a car or, as I did for the first 4 hour of playing the game... a mountain bike, and just wander off into the wilderness, discovering nooks and crannies, railway tunnels, little towns.

I can't wait to do that again.

I remember earning a fortune in San Andreas by betting on horses, doing bicycle wheelies downhill, heading to a lowrider meet with one of those cars with funny suspension, parachuting into a casino to play Blackjack and somehow getting a Harrier into a garage for me to use later on.

That game had everything 8-)

Same here. Except I'll be getting it on Xbox, so we can do RRR street races and stuff.

We have recently switched to Discord as our main organisational hub, i.e. all event, race and mod info will usually be found there from now on.
