Humble Bundle

Postby HFG Ben » 03 Aug 2013, 17:37

I keep buying stuff from this and mentioning it so figured why not stick up a thread for it. I picked up Saints Row 2 and 3 (full package), Risen 2 and Dead Island all for around £3. Just starting on Dead Island right now. Would be fun if a few of us got it/had it and we could smash up some zombies :)
And if not, just buy it anyway. I seem to be getting it every week to rebuild my PC game collection and its nice to be able to pay the money to charity for it.

Ooh. Good bundle this week. DEFCON, Multiwinia, Darwinia, and Uplink for whatever, but Prison Architect (which is £19.99 on Steam) is thrown in if you pay over $19.99 (£13 odd). Goes up to $24.99 tomorrow though. Been eyeing that game up for a while so well worth it if you have too!

The newest Humble Bundle is eight games from the love-em-or-hate-em EA. Dead Space, Burnout Paradise Ultimate, Crysis 2, Mirror's Edge - and all the money can go to charity!

One drawback - only five of the games come with Steam keys. The other three are Origin only.

For a couple of pence over £3 though, you cant grumble! Means I have an actual Steam copy of Burnout Paradise too rather than just the disc which is nice as the disc cant be imported into steam as a native game.

Thought I would post this iust in case anyone else has the same trouble I have had. Was not able to download items fully from Origin. It would go slowly and then just stop dead. Pausing downloads was being a bellend too. Just basically being a bellend in general really. Found this thread, downloaded the .ini file from it and now its a lot faster and works like it should do.

Link to the thread is here

Oh, if you get this bundle, MAKE SURE you add your code to the sims 3 website before downloading it in Origin because it wont work if you dont. Its hidden away in the T&Cs on the bundle. Useless fucking EA.

I picked up the Humble Bundle for Android this week. Brilliant. Got it for Carmageddon, but not even touched that as been playing Star Commander and unleashing my inner Picard. Punch Quest isnt bad either. Not even opened any of the rest yet. Not needed to! Its got another week on it, so if you want some good games for Android then look no further.

Theres an offer on at the moment containing Dust:An Elysian Tail on here. Has been highly recommended to me a number of times and has been on my wish list for a while too. The fact its on the regular section means its only $1 for the Steam key so well worth picking up. I may have to play this after racing tonight :)

Also, if people would like some Steam keys, I have Organ Trail: Directors Cut, Broken Sword: Directors Cut and FTL: Faster Than Light all free to a good home. Just shoot me a PM for the keys. Speaking of which, I nabbed a couple of the ones from your post Dave (suprised there were still some unclaimed actually)

If you miss that though, you can have this gifted copy (I claimed it before realising I already had the game)

I bought the humble jumbo bundle today as I saw it had a cheap copy of grid 2 and euro truck simulator in it.

It's given me a few copies of insurgency for free - if you want it, please take it

And now I see Euro Truck Simulator 2 can be bought for $6. It never ends... :)

And on that note, I bought it. I enjoyed GRID 1 and thinking of phasing out the Xbox. Only games I will really use it for now are the Final Fantasy XIII games, but these are coming/have come out on PC so will hoover them up as and when.

As I have got that now, MOAR INSURGENCY KEYS!!!!

Spotted Homebrew in there. Anyone else played it? Like the look of it (it's billed as KSP without needing to know astrophysics) but not heard many opinions as its still early access.
