Remember that the livery deadline is THIS WEDNESDAY.

As it stands, there will be a lot of shame on the grid. ;)

Presenting the two UPA machines powered by environment-destroying 7.4L Chevrolet LS6 454 V8 engines. We're going to die, so we might as well poison the rest of you while we're at it.
Yes I'm aware of the green blob below the intake. It now joins up nicely with the white/red. I shouldn't paint whilst tired. :3

The server is now running the livery pack as provided - is the extra subfolder inside the RAR (and thus inside AMS' folders, e.g. \GameData\Vehicles\F_Retro\CCFI v1_0\Eiffel Power Retro) intended?
Just asking as I'm unsure (and can't test right now) whether this might mismatch if you don't have that folder and/or whether this will fuck up the custom sounds as they only refer to one directory level above (..\).

No, I fucked up. Chuck the folders within CCFI V1_0 in the F_Retro folder. :oops:

Meanwhile, I thought that it would've been wrong not to do one of those 1970s onboard videos:

For those having issues with FFB in your personal Retro, open the RealFeelPlugin.ini file in steamapps/common/Automobilista. Find the section for your car (mine was [Unifi], yours will follow a similar format) and ensure the values match the following:

MaxForceAtSteeringRack=1250.000000
SteeringDamper=11500.000000
FFBMixerRealFeelPercent=100.000000
FrontGripEffect=0.000000
SmoothingLevel=4
Kf=6000.000000
Ks=5.000000
A=1.000000
Kr=10.000000

I had a completely different FFB profile to the stock Retro and was confused as to why my car felt like shit, it now feels incredible. Credit goes to @lemming77!

Just to expand on what @KJP93 posted-- FFB settings are saved in the RealFeelPlugin.ini file separated based on the first 5 letters of the "Description" parameter in .veh files. I guess that's why these all start with Retro:, F_Vintage:, etc. in the base cars.

Hit a limit early on with these and couldn't find the "way" to drive them that everyone else seemed to.

Hilariously somehow got third from the back in the first race. Then in the second race people just drove past. I had no confidence in the car or braking to race anyone or push. The one time I tried to push hard I nearly binned it so decided to DNF.

Considering I haven't slept properly in three days, I guess 5th x 2 isn't bad.

Races were both fun as well, but I'm bitterly disappointed for Campbell, who is definitely the moral victor of Race 2. Nice we could run 1-2 for a little bit. Happy to have my first fastest lap, even if it was a little bit caused by new tyres.

Good stuff - driving on my own for most of the time when I wasn't busy blowing up my engine, but a few quiiiite intense laps at the end of R2 featuring Kyran, Allie and Campbell made up for it, thanks for that!

That was a thing. I really enjoyed the car and driving under pressure in these is awesome. As soon as the pressure was off though it got pretty meh, and the pressure was off early in the event for me.

A nice physical tap on the shoulder fucked my first race and I just zoned out looking at my second screen driving in free air in race 2.

Awesome battling with most people though tonight. The long battles with @JayCoops435 and @KJP93 were awesome fun. The outrageous lunge on Jay in race 2 was me more getting caught out under braking. It was lucky I didn't collect you so I'm really sorry for that man. That felt like a pretty dickish overtake.

Well done To Kyran on a great win and the various podium peeps. I imagine a lot of fun was had.

That was... Eventful.

Quali: Did my best lap yet but couldn't improve on my final run. P10.

Race 1: I was enjoying my battles with @shaxberd and @Mike Bell early on. Side-by-side through Tamburello and basically everywhere else was fucking awesome. But I got damage once, and then I the car was difficult to drive after that. P9.

Race 2: It was over before it begun. I couldn't avoid @lemming77 but didn't get damage. I then saw a wild SCOTTISH NATIONAL PARTY car of @tonyandmargaret. Race was effectively over then. Just driving around was fun enough though. P10.

It's a shame about the qualifying fuck-up. I'm sorry about that. But I thought the car and track combination was a real challenge. Well done to @KJP93 on his win and to @JayCoops435 on victory in the second race.

Quali
What a farce. I'm not sure how it took until midway through qualifying before realising how fucked up the laps were. 5th

Race 1
Got caught out by the aero wake into Tosa and somehow didn't hit anyone as I veered across the track. I picked my way through the pack and after @lemming77 and @Mosaegir hit trouble I found myself in 2nd. Then I lost concentration and had the most retarded accident ever into turn 1. The resulting pit stop dropped me into 7th and I just missed out on pipping @Mike Bell for another place.

Race 2
Beat @tonyandmargaret off the line and was ahead out of Tosa. Then I led the race and managed to gap @JayCoops435, @pyjames91 and @Mosaegir. It was all going so well but on lap 22, with about a 5 second lead, I had a half spin into Rivazza 1, which put Jay right on my tail, then in Aqua Minerale I got out of shape, Jay got into me and I dropped down to 4th. It wasn't over though, and Allie's spin on the final corner gave me 3rd, though @shaxberd got perilously close on the line.

It feels wrong to be disappointed with a podium but I could've feasibly had 2nd in race 1 and won race 2. Really annoyed to have thrown away an amazing result, but I had so much fun in these cars and could drive them all day. More please.

Extremely enjoyable evening, pretty surprised to walk away with a first and a second. Absolutely drove the wheels off my car trying to close down @pyjames91 in race one. Super bummed that it didn't end up with a battle in the closing stages but a win is a win I guess.

Great wheel-to-wheel action with plenty of people. Fucked up exiting Tamburello in the closing stages by drifting slightly wide and attaching myself to the armco which then led to a 'joker' line through Tosa. A nice duel with @shaxberd followed and with Kaibutsu having a meltdown right at the end, it was best of the rest behind @JayCoops435.

Gaaaaaaah I could have had points.

Quali was good and I was like 8th.

Race 1 I was good until Mike went off ahead of me and I followed him, into a DNF.

Race 2 I was good for like 6th but then lost focus and crashed. Held on for 8th.

Eh well. These cars are fun. More plz.

First off, apologies that no one heard a thing I was saying throughout the event. Once I came out of AMS to check on TS, I noticed for some reason, my mic on my headset isn't working so will get that looked at. Love these cars, they're a great challenge and massively satisfying when you get it right.

Quali
Had a few ok'ish laps on the first run. On the second run it was still very much the same until the very last flying lap where it all hooked up quite nicely. Pole

Race 1
Got a good start but had @KJP93 and @pyjames91 crawling all over me and I had to defend massively. As things started to calm down a little, I still had @pyjames91 with me until going in to Rivazza when all of a sudden, AMS froze on me. After about 10 seconds it sorted itself out, but I was in the barrier with no rear wing and one of the Kaibutsu's flying past me. I then pitted for repairs and headed back out and just went for it, trying to climb back up the field the best I could. Then AMS decided to freeze on me once more. This time going through Tamburello which was really scary. Luckily, it worked itself out really quickly and I managed to keep it all together (really don't know what was going on there). I had great fun though climbing back up through the field and benefiting from mistakes by others to finish just outside the podium. 4th

Race 2
Got a great start and managed to make up a place before entering Tamburello. Then the car started to get out of shape and started the beginnings of a real tank slapper. By a miracle I managed to gather it together, although I think it caused a few issues to those behind me so really sorry for that. I then had a great battle with @Mike Bell and @Mosaegir whilst @Lin1876 started to get away. We then went 3 wide in to Tamburello which was seriously scary. @Mike Bell then dropped back (can't remember how or why) and I managed to get past @Mosaegir and worked on closing the gap to @Lin1876. I then lost the back end coming out of Rivazza and hit the barrier side on and hard enough for the car to start toeing to the left slightly. As the race progressed, that made going through Tamburello a challenge as the tyres wore out. I managed to pass @Mosaegir once more and then all of a sudden, @pyjames91 was with us and managed a pass at Tosa. @pyjames91 then made a mistake coming out of Tamburello which allowed me back in to second and to charge after @Lin1876 once more. @Lin1876 made a few mistakes, notibly twice at Rivazza which allowed me to close the gap with a few laps to go. @Lin1876 then got wide at Aqua Minerale and contact was made between us as I almost followed him. Contact was made as @Lin1876 rejoined to which I had nowhere to go as to the right of me was I believe @lemming77 who was getting past. With then one lap to go, I was able to keep the car together and make it to the finish. 1st

A little disappointed with what happened in the first race, but hey, that's sim racing and it was still great fun. Congrats to @KJP93 for the overall win and to everyone who got podium finishes. Also a big well done to those I was racing against throughout the event for some fantastic, clean racing.

On to Cruddy!

From my view, it was a very clean and brave overtake mate. No apology needed.

This event was fun. I especially enjoyed the long chase me and @Mosaegir had in R1. Very tense, awesome fun. :D

That was me, yeah. I wasn't entirely sure what had happened because I just saw you two going unusually slow as I exited the corner. My first assumption was you were yielding for Campbell for some reason, an incident maybe. But knowing you two were quicker than me I figured I should make progress while I can and let you guys pass me when you catch me again. I didn't realise contact happened as I was passing, sorry about that. :(

Wiki has been updated. Feel free to make whatever tweaks you wish @craighypheno. Pictures would be excellent too when you have a chance @zephyr. ;)
