Pit Speed Limit: 80 km/h
Pit Entry: On the right on the front straight.
Pit Exit: Rejoin on the right on the front straight. No blend line but please keep right after you exit the pit lane.

Track Notes
This race will feature a standing start. Be aware of cars around you on the first lap and don't try any banzai moves on the first lap of a 47 lap race. As always, we will not restart the race for an accident - if there's a lap 1 pile up that takes out half the field, so be it. Be aware particularly of the braking zone into turn 5 on the first lap as your brakes and tyres will not be up to temperature.

Two wheels on the track at all times please. The kerbs are often horrible enough to enforce track limits here but there are places where you can still gain an advantage.

Event Notes
This is a long race and there will be retirements (probably). If you're still running at the finish, you'll probably be near the points. Be aware of cars around you on the first lap and don't move across the track unless you're sure there's space to do so.

Due to strategy variations, you may come across cars going significantly faster or slower than you. Please be sensible about it.

These cars are quite fragile and don't take contact well. As such, we will take a harder line on avoidable contact which damages an opponent's car.

RACE ABANDONED/POSTPONED UNTIL LATER IN THE YEAR

Unfortunately, after the two mods from the workshop not working on the dedicated at all, we now had to discover that this mod seems to crash for some people at random intervals, referring a defect waypoint (#1678). The waypoint was referring -1 as its previous WP, so I changed it to a proper one as a quick fix, build an update package and checked offline to see whether it would still count laptimes (because, well, waypoints probably matter in that, I reckon? :D). While that worked, the server then refused to load the updated mod package unfortunately.
We're not gonna run an event that endangers multiple, seemingly selected people to disconnect from a 90+ minute race, so this round is abandoned. I'll try to fix either this mod and/or one of the other ones and we might then reschedule this or change it to a different track for one of the empty weekends/SE slots in late summer.

Very sorry for this, and thanks for your understanding - a Wreckfest server is up :)

What an absolutely incredible race. I really feel like I nailed the strategy, and loved my initial battle out of the gates with @KJP93 @Mike Bell @zephyr and @RaceProUK. Absolutely gutted that I lost this race to firey death by being struck by a meteor! When am I gonna catch a break!? Dx

Congrats to @ThePope on taking the win!

That was rather unfortunate, your stupid strategy was probably going to get you a win. But once again it got taken away by something out of your control... :(

Given that the Papamobile clearly isn't an open-wheel race car and the team hasn't provided a Holy Spirit sample for a fuel check-up, I demand disqualification. We're setting a bad precedent here. Stewarding team get on it now!

Good News!

...no, not the Dacia Sandero - today's testing session went well, so we'll be able to reschedule Road America soon. Thanks so much, @Chris Williamson & @MrRandom287 for providing fixed versions!
