HETM - Livery Assistance & Reveals

Postby shaxberd » 17 Dec 2018, 09:27

Image

The template are available on the FTP now (don't worry about the windows - we will!) - please use this topic to show off your magnificient liveries, receive assistance in painting 'em or find someone to do the entire job for you if you find you can only slap SEGA stickers on black cars.

Either way, make sure your liveries comply with the restrictions outlined in the main topic.

Remember to upload your reveals to the wiki and add them to the entry list image gallery when you're done!

Don't forget to upload them to the FTP by the livery deadline (January 17th), either!

Did I miss something??

Templates are on the FTP now: /rFactor2/Skins/Templates/HETM

The numberbox font is Ubuntu, available here.

Sections that shouldn't be changed are marked as red, sections for your artworks as green - should be fairly straightforward and hopefully we won't have to ban railroad sponsorship or something because people try to work their way around these. And before anyone claims not having seen the colours in Gimp or so, have a screenshot ;)

The Bagelwagen could be yours however! Send me a PM if you want to run it! If not I have plans to recycle the idea...

Yep! All I need is a definitive list of who is driving what model, because the templates are different for each!

I have uploaded the livery to the ftp. I am headed out of town for two weeks so should there be any modifications that need to be made on my end won't be able to do it until I return. Good luck to everyone in the first couple of races and hopefully #43 will make its debut in week 3. I will be checking forums periodically while I'm gone so will keep an eye on how the first couple weeks go. As I didn't have the windows etc. the official reveal will be race day unless someone wishes to post the images for me. ;) ;)

I completely ran out of whatever passes for creativity for me so please enjoy this revival of a "classic" Kaibutsu design.

But wait, there's more! With @Mosaegir moving on (with my eternal gratitude and awe), I've recruited a team mate for the first time since 2016. Welcome to @CuruxaUK! Niall asked for the novice bumper sticker, though from what I've seen so far it's not going to be necessary!

Bring on the Teams Championship defence!

(Big thanks to @KJP93 for being amazing and making my window textures early for me)

Window files are now on the FTP. Thinking it's likely best if @shaxberd deals with those when compiling the modpack!

The only two I'm missing are those for @Brussells and @Chris Williamson. If you could tell me somewhere which car you intend on driving, I'll be able to get the windows done. Thanks!

The livery pack is on the FTP now, containing separate RFCMP mod files that should be extracted to your \rFactor2\Packages directory and then installed within the launcher (as you did with the original mod). Alternatively, the pack (but not the original base mod, obviously) should auto-download from the server if you join:
/rFactor2/Skins/Packs/HETM_LiveryPack.7z

Apart from the liveries (which you'll find under "Realish Racing > HETM", once installed), there are a few more things that have been adjusted for our cars:
  • DRS is disabled albeit still graphically represented for your placebo needs
  • damage repair time has been reduced drastically, by about ~25%
  • tyre change times have been adjusted to DTM-ish times and random delay has been minimised

Massive shoutout to @KJP93 for taking care of the windows, thank you!

..and then there are a few reveals to be made - first off, the aureus cars, courtesy of @ajokay:
Image
Image
Image
Image

Yet again, Argosport fields the club-powered entry, with @Chris Williamson and @Sam Hill aboard (Disclaimer: Sam asked for a livery representing no talent):

And last but not least, Smile Power returns to the grid, and so does their former lineup: @Mike Bell & @MrRandom287:
