<< Cruddy Six ----- Bon Anniversaire! Six >>

Berlingo Bingo is the 58th Realish Racing Special Event. We make our glorious and long overdue return to Kimster's Grotto for an evening of what can only be described as pure banter. With rules regarding liveries seemingly non-existant, who knows what atrocities some of our more controversial members might commit. There will be crashing, there will be rolling, Secret Savilles may finally be discovered and someone will almost certainly end up stuck inside the Maldonado recovery truck.

The hopefully horrific liveries will be painted and submitted anonymously, with each livery assigned a number on the evening of the event. A random number generator will decide the ride our participants will have for the event. Okay, it's not really bingo... but the name just works.

Event Format

This is semi demolition derby rules. Contact is entirely encouraged, however refrain from using someone as a braking zone. Shoving and pushing is fine but don't go smashing into someone at full pelt to make the corner. Driving the course in the reverse direction is prohibited as is cutting the middle section of the course.

Much like the original run out at the Grotto, the event will consist of six races, each awarding points to the top ten finishers. In traditional style, the final race will deliver half points.

  • Qualifying - This will be a two minute session because troll event. It's going to be an absolute battle to get a lap in as there will only be enough time for a single flying lap and we'll all have to go out together in a huge cluster. Just make sure you obey the green light at the end of the pitlane as it won't count your flying lap and there won't be time to run another.
  • Race - 5 laps standing start.

We will have a qualifying session before every race to maximize the carnage.

Schedule

  • Practice - 6:30pm BST
  • Livery Draw - 7:00pm BST
  • Qualifying 1 - 7:30pm BST
  • Race 1 - 7:35pm BST and so on.

Just like our previous visit to the Grotto, the number of points available is stupidly vast. The driver with the most points after all six races will be the winner of the event. In the event of any tied scores, results countback will be used. If scores are still tied after countback, the driver with lowest combined race time over all five races will finish the the higher position. Event points will be awarded to the top eight positions in all races, regardless of whether all cars finish the race. One point will be deducted every time a driver apologises for an incident over voice chat.

And the start of a race "Jerk chicken.... Jerk it" The cars are lined up in an unorthodox starting position.
How many vans miss turn 1?
One sideways one upside down and we haven't finished lap 1!
The first tight corner catches out even more drivers.
3 wide into a corner probably won't end well. An neither will your retinas after looking at the back of some of these vans.
Joshua and William pull out all the 'wacky races' tactics to stop Mike from getting another win. But it utterly fails.
The vans are all pointing the right direction showing some questionable paint jobs off.
Tyre smoke and bumping cars in the distance.
A neat and tidy corner for the bingo race.
Neil manages to shove Mike through the barrier.
A long shot of another corner.
With everyone DQ'd, bad taste liveries and jokes for the evening, we're all winners and also all big loosers. By next special event we should have collectively remembered how to drive.
